The Winemakers of Rutherglen invite you to stray into the Dark Side of Wine with more than 30 events over 2 weeks.
When the last of the sun’s rays smoulder over the horizon and the winter moon emerges, the dark arts of Rutherglen will be revealed at the Dark Side of Wine.
This series of immersive experiences is a festival for the curious and the bold. Feel the crisp night air under a star-laden sky as you’re warmed by sensuous wines, crackling fires, stirring music and lively conversation.

“Behind the Winery Curtains” A Secret Taste with the Chambers Family at Chambers Rosewood Vineyards - Thursday 8th August 6.30pm
Dim the lights and soak up the atmosphere among the hundred-year-old casks. Uncover the Chambers family stories, with a behind the scenes history tour by night. Sixth generation winemakers, Stephen and Michael, share over 160 years of knowledge.
With exclusive tastings direct from the ancient casks, step behind the curtains and discover the secrets of Muscats and Fortified Durif.
Fires and the starlit night sky will be filled with the sweet acoustic sounds of local duo, Tilly and Miller. Come unravel the mysteries of Chambers World Renowned Muscats.
Welcome wines on arrival, local food matches throughout the evening and a signature cocktail with dessert. Cocktail style evening. Non formal seating. Walking amongst the casks and winery.
