“Global Victoria, the official trade facilitation and promotional arm of the Victorian State Government, have secured a partnership agreement with La Cité du Vin (a museum based in Bordeaux that celebrates world wine cultures and attracts thousands of consumer and trade visitors per year) to amplify Victoria’s reputation as a premium wine destination in this exciting two-year partnership.

In partnership with Wine Victoria, the museum and our [Wine Victoria] Victorian Government office in France, we [Global Victoria] have selected a handful of Victorian wines that are available in Europe to feature in the museum for our initial activation, yours being one of them!” Sarah May - Trade Manager, Beverage Exports | Global Victoria

Export Partnership with South World Wines

Here at Chambers are very fortunate to have an amazing affiliation with Gaëtan Turner of South World Wines in France. Exporting a handful of our very special fortified wine including, Rutherglen Muscat, Old Vine (Classic Muscat), Grand Muscat, Rare Muscat, Old Vine (Classic) Muscadelle/Topaque and Rare Muscadelle/Topaque into France.

About the partnership with La Cité du Vin

“This agreement represents a significant ongoing promotional opportunity to showcase Victorian wines to an international audience, profiling Victoria as a premium winemaking region and promoting Victorian wine to consumers and trade. The only other Australian state currently featured is South Australia.

The partnership was launched in February 2025 to align with Vinexpo Paris (Wine Paris). There were two launch events at the museum, a consumer event on 13th February and a trade/media tasting event on the 14th of February. Both Global Victoria and Wine Victoria were present at the launch to represent the State of Victoria. Post launch, there will be a display showcased at the museum of Victorian wines.” Sarah May - Trade Manager, Beverage Exports | Global Victoria

 Wine Selection

“The wines were chosen by Global Victoria in collaboration with Wine Victoria, the museum [La Cité du Vin], and the Victorian Government office in France. The selection was guided by the palate preferences of European buyers, the existing presence and availability of the wines in the European market, and their potential for growth, while representing Victoria’s Five Pillars.” Sarah May - Trade Manager, Beverage Exports | Global Victoria
